Salep is a traditional Turkish drink made from orchids. The flower's tubids are washed, boiled then dried before they are ground into a flour. This is then made into this warming hot drink, which is traditionally used to ease coughs and soothe sore throats. It can be be drank with ginger and cinnamon to increase these effects.
