For the past few weeks a big topic of discussion here at Wolf & Whistle has been the impending elections; with each broadcast on tv and each newspaper article, there is always another point of view, another policy to consider. Each one of us here has a different goal, a different opinion and different reasons on what we want to vote for - are we looking to buy a house, to have children or grow our business?
One big topic of discussion has been are we voting for someone because we would choose their policies or because we fear the others?
But is that the right way to think when voting? Shouldn't we vote for a party because they inspire us, support our dreams and aspirations?
We know that no party is perfect. They all have promises they have broken, lies they have told and comments that weren't meant to be heard. But we have to look and analyse. What matters most to us? Health, education, crime? the list goes on. For each one of us this list will be different. What we care about on a day to day basis and some things that may not effect us at all. But no matter what, we all agree that we must vote.
In what will be a closely called race, it is vital that we use our power and put our voices forward. Not out of fear, but because we have dreams and have earned the right to our opinions.
