Wedding outfit inspiration

by Wolf and Whistle

Summer may be nearing it’s end (sigh) but wedding season is still in full swing and that means that there is no better time for some occasion wear inspiration. We've put together three looks with some of our favourite pieces to help you decide on an outfit for a late summer wedding.

This outfit is a great alternative to the usual dress trend for a wedding. The fact that it is a more covered up option also makes it perfect for those chilly end of summer evenings. To create this look we’ve teamed our Blossom Bow Front Blouse with these white culottes from Topshop. If you would prefer a skirt to culottes then we think that this white pleated midi skirt from Glamorous is perfect. We’ve added a pop of red to compliment the blue with LK Bennett’s leather clutch and Topshop’s lipstick in ‘rio rio’. Finish the outfit off with these statement Carvela sandals.

We love this outfit for showing off the beautiful palm print of the dress. This option is classic and chic and will ease you into early autumn wear. For this outfit we’ve chosen to pair the Wolf & Whistle Palm Print Drape Skirt Dress with a light Oscar De La Renta shrug in green. The black fascinator from Navabi, the black LK Bennett heels and the simple Whistles clutch let the dress do all the talking. Finish off this look with nude lips and nails using this Stila colour balm lipstick and this Nails Inc. gel effect nail varnish.

The third option we’ve created uses neutral tones to compliment the blue floral design of the dress. For this summer wedding look we’ve taken the classic Wolf & Whistle Blossom Print Tailored Dress and matched it with a white blazer by Lavish Alice. The open arms create a cape look which is sure to make your outfit stand out! You can accessorise this look with nude wedges and a bag such as these by Dune and Koko Couture. Finish off with a statement necklace like this one at River Island.
